Fire Detection Systems

With years of experience we can provide effective and practical solutions to meet specific client requirements. From a simple conventional system to a more complex addressable system, our engineers can advise on all aspects relevant to the client's needs.

Design

We consider the design stage to be one of the most critical parts of any fire alarm installation. If not carried out correctly, you could have a system that does not comply with regulations (I.S 3218:2013). A below standard installation may give out false alarms or at worse fail to detect fire correctly or not at all.

Installation

The installation of your fire alarm system must not only comply with IS 3218:2013 but also the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations. Our engineers are competent in both aspects of installation. We will ensure that the alarm system is fitted in accordance with the plans and design specification.

Commissioning

This is considered possibly the most important step in the installation of the fire alarm system. Superior Group will ensure that the system is fitted as per the design specifications and drawings. We will also ensure that the system complies with current regulations. If unhappy with the system, our engineer will give a list of works to be carried out before a retest is scheduled.

All of our installation team have been trained to the highest standards and all of our extinguishers are manufactured to European standard EN3 under a strict quality controlled system to IS 291 2015. However, fire extinguishers also require maintenance to ensure they will work when needed, or are more importantly, safe for the person using the fire extinguisher. Superior Group supplies and service's all types of fire extinguishers to IS 291 2015.

Fire Training

Staff awareness of fire risks and knowledge of how to react to situations are essential health & safety elements that should be made available to your employees. Superior Group can provide a comprehensive training package for your staff.

Fire Suppression Systems

Fire suppression systems are most commonly used in environments with heavy power equipment. Suppression systems use a combination of dry chemicals and/or wet agents to suppress equipment fires.

Fire suppression systems are used in areas which may be left unattended for periods of time but where it is essential that an outbreak of fire be dealt with straight away. A fire suppression system can provide a rapid response to a developing fire with a clean agent leaving no residue and most importantly no equipment damage.

For these reasons, fire suppression systems are commonly used to protect:

  • IT server rooms
  • Switch rooms
  • High value storage areas
  • Electronic equipment rooms
  • Commercial kitchens
  • Any room or premises with a lot of electrical equipment

Fire suppression systems have become best practice in several industries as they help control damage and loss to equipment. Common means of detection are through heat sensors, wiring, or manual detection (depending on system requirements).

At Superior Group we have the technical expertise to design, Install and maintain all types of fire suppression system.
